Summary about this project
RESUME
With Ale Lazos we created a supercity for UltraSuperNew, an independent creative agency, born and raised in Harajuku. The agency came to us with the opportunity to craft a rich interactive experience designing a fictional asiatic megalopoli that combined the style and architecture of the three offices they have in Tokyo, Singapore and Taiwan. The unconventional and modern cyberpunk esthetics inspired the design: multicultural, vibing, loud and futuristic.

TEAM
Working round the clock and coordinating calls between the different offices in Argentina, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Malaysia and Portugal we defined the UX while M2 in Germany, put together the design of the city. Afterwards we adapted the design to an immersive WebGL experience.
About the process
To engage visitors in this futuristic city we added many elements to make the city feel alive and give it a more personal touch. Our starting point for the user interface (UI) design were the light trails, and we designed it in such a way it would allow us to play with different elements like smoke and particles, that are part of the atmosphere of this modern city. When it came to integrating the site with the CMS, we used Prismic.
We were able to use more than 300.000 polygons
We defined the UX while M2 in Germany, put together the design of the city. Afterwards we adapted the design to an immersive WebGL experience.
Our result with this project
RESULTS
Since the beginning, the biggest challenge was coordinating the calls between the different offices in Argentina, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Malaysia and Portugal. The universe we built for the experience presented itself as a design and development challenge. We were able to use more than 300.000 polygons in the website, creating an experiment that invites users to dive into the hustle and bustle of the urban spaces. We received our first FWA for this project.
